We derived from restoration such as specialist repairs to listed building and conservation areas. My attention to detail during the restoration procedure has led to me founding a company that covers carpentry, decorating and project managing on private dwellings over the Hampshire area. I use the same care and attention to interior decorating as I do to restoration projects. It’s the desire to turn something from an old dilapidated state to fresh, clean cut and fitting, whether it is on a modern building with straight lines or an older building with no straight lines whatsoever.
I employ directly decorator and carpenters and we use the same trusted team, constantly trying to improve our methods and products for the best outcome as technology improves. For instance we have invested in industrial spray machines that are proving to be an efficient way of decorating large interiors. We have recently been working on a large house in Romsey with 15ft ceilings that have specialist coving, the sprayer proved efficient and quick, and as a result we have been very competitive.
We cover all decorating jobs:
- Spraying masonry
- Spraying ceilings and walls
- Spraying stairwells and decorative woodwork
- Traditional brush and roller methods
- Wall papering/stripping
- All interior and exterior jobs are undertaken.
Spray Painting
We have machines to spray masonry, emulsion, primer, undercoat and gloss. The machines are designed to take normal brand names. This allows us to use the products we would normally brush on. This is beneficial because factory painted items are normally finished with a paint system that can’t be brought ‘off the shelf’ and are not designed to be ‘touched up’.
As mentioned on our interior decorating landing page the sprayers can be used to cover large areas as efficiently as possible, which will lead to a high quality finish.
For exterior woodwork we predominantly use the Dulux Weathershield System that can be sprayed. When restoring windows we normally carefully remove the glass and all of the old existing putty to return the frame to its raw form. Then the item is repaired and treated with preservative. Following this the windows are then sprayed fully with undercoat into all the corners and on the glazing bars where the glass will sit so everything is protected. The item will be sprayed twice or three times in this fashion before being glazed. When the fixed item has been returned to site a final coat can be brushed on to finish it off; leaving a very well bonded decoration.
Wall Paper
Our experienced team will paper any room. There is a very wide range available from all sorts of sources, but we normally find out what you want and order it through our decorating supplier. Normally this is the most efficient and effective method of supply.
